| The Kornati islands are a major luxury yacht charter destination in Croatia. The archipelago covers an area of 300km2 with 148 islands, and it was declared a National Park in 1980. This area is immensely popular because of its natural beauty and its numerous coves and crystal clear blue waters. The park was named after the largest island, Kornati, and the name Kornati most likely came from the Latin name 'corrimare' which means 'scattered islands'.
