The Dominican Republic is a destination of choice for luxury yacht rentals, idyllic in the heart of the West Indies. Hispanola is the second largest island in the Caribbean, offering an average of 300 days of sunshine a year and bathed by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south. The island offers landscapes worthy of the most beautiful postcards, with her sandy beaches and unexplored lands, some of which were discovered by Christopher Columbus. You can discover: Santo Domingo, Samana Bay, Punta Cana, Saona Island or La Romana
Around her port filled with superb yachts, the city of La Romana and her surroundings are the meeting point of the jet set in Casa de Campo. This complex is dominated by the site of Altas de Chavon, a medieval village of Italian style of the sixteenth century, but entirely built in the 80s. Originally built for sugar cane plantation workers always present around the city, Catalina Island and her sandy beaches and corals are easily accessible from La Romana.
The island of Saona
The island of Saona is currently the most popular excursion proposed in the Dominican Republic. It is a nature reserve protected by the government and part of the Eastern National Park. The island is the tropical postcard beach with swaying palms, white sand and turquoise waters. During this cruise, you can leave Saona beach with fast boats to go to the natural pools and go in search of giant starfish.
Quieter and more intimate than the island of Saona, the islet of Catalina is accessible from La Romana.
Catalina is also a famous for diving spot - the spectacular "Muro". A few tens of meters from the coast, the depth goes from 3 to almost 100 meters. Covered with sponges and corals, this area is the ideal place for snorkeling.
Palmilla Beach is a pristine beach located right in front of Saona Island. An idyllic place to disembark a few hours and discover the magic hour of the sunset.
Located in the southeast of the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana will seduce lovers of water activities. The city is also famous for its more lively nightlife than in the rest of the country offering Dominican music, merengue and Bachata.
